Laminate Countertops
Laminate countertops provide the most immediate value. A wide variety of
colors and patterns are available at budget prices. Custom laminate
countertops are seamed to provide maximum protection from moisture and use
damage. Square, beveled and wood edges are available on custom laminate
countertops. Seamless post-formed laminate countertops are available in a
variety of edges, but are only suited for straight sections under 12 feet in
length.
Newer laminate colors, made with digital photography, closely imitate the
colors, patterns and textures of natural granite. When properly
fabricated, installed and maintained, laminate countertops can last a long time;
however, scratches and nicks from wear as well as water or heat damage are not
repairable. Hence, most fabricators limit the warranty to one year or
less.
